Acrylic on paper, 35” x 52”. We often have conversations about what influences us and our art. For me, it is impossible to think that all those memories of all the work I’ve viewed don’t influence my work. Sometimes as I paint what I see in my mind, the end result reminds me strongly of Joan Mitchell or another artist. All those thousands or millions of memories swirl around in my head and certainly impact what I remember and what I paint.
